In today’s bustling and fast-moving world, visually impaired individuals often face challenges with mobility. However, thanks to technological advancements, their lives have been significantly improved.
In addition to traditional aids like canes and service dogs, visually impaired individuals now have access to a high-tech solution developed by an Austrian company called Tech-Innovation.
This company has introduced InnoMake, a pair of smart shoes equipped with built-in sensors that alert users through vibrations or sound when obstacles are detected. These sensors can identify obstacles at distances ranging from 0.5 to 4 meters.
The sensors are designed to fit seamlessly into a special slot in the shoes and come with a rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. Recharging the battery is quick and efficient, taking only three hours to reach full capacity.
The shoes also come with a free companion app, allowing users to customize settings such as the alert distance.
InnoMake is designed to be practical in all weather conditions, as the sensors are water-resistant and can function reliably in rain or snow. Additionally, an intelligent mode ensures the sensors deactivate when the user is seated and reactivate automatically when movement is detected.
To provide a hands-on experience, several stores across Austria allow users to try the shoes before making a purchase.
By combining innovative technology with thoughtful design, InnoMake offers visually impaired individuals greater independence and confidence in navigating their surroundings.
